After listening to "Indie Spotlight: Alternative & Rock" I heard the band The Morning Benders. I adore them. Turns out, I already had 'Damnit Anna', and I got the entire album, Talking Through Tin Cans, for 5 bucks! OK, but it's not the deal, it's the quality of music. I love them. They're an alternative band, with a nice beat and great lyrics. If you enjoy Vampire Weekend, they have a Vamp.W. feel, as well. The album consists of a little rock, with some pop-y songs, along with a few sad songs. I highly recommend it.
